Forty years of applied mathematical modelling: A bibliometric study

چکیده
The Journal of Applied Mathematical Modelling (AMM) is a leading international journal in the field mathematics and engineering focused on research related to mathematical modelling environmental processes, manufacturing, industrial systems, whose first issue was published 1976. Motivated by 40th anniversary 2016, this study aims develop bibliometric overview publications from 1976 2016. objective work identify variables trends which have influenced most during these years. In doing so, uses Web Science Core Collection database analyze data. This also develops graphical mapping material using visualization similarities (VOS) viewer software. These graphs represent bibliographic coupling, citation co-citation analysis, co-authorship co-occurrence keywords. results show diversity documents significant growth through time.

Forty Years of Numerical Climate Modelling
Climate modelling is now a mature discipline approaching its fortieth birthday. The need for valid climate forecasts has been underlined by the recognition that human activities are now modifying the climate. The complex nature of the climate system has resulted in the development of a surprisingly large array of modelling tools. Some are relatively simple, such as the earth systems and energy ...
متن کاملMathematical Modelling in Applied Analysis
Mathematical modelling in applied analysis refers to exploiting mathematical knowledge about (classes of basic) equations with the aim to describe and analyse phenomena that appear in the natural and technical sciences. As an example we will show that low dimensional models can be derived for phenomena that appear in (perturbations of) dynamical Poisson systems with symmetries. We show that the...
متن کاملForty Years of X-Ray Binaries
In 2012 it was forty years ago that the discovery of the first X-ray binary Centaurus X-3 became known. That same year it was discovered that apart from the High-Mass X-ray Binaries (HMXBs) there are also Low-Mass X-ray Binaries (LMXBs), and that Cygnus X-1 is most probably a black hole. By 1975 also the new class of Be/X-ray binaries was discovered. After this it took 28 years before ESAs INTE...
متن کاملForty Years of Perceptrons
More than forty years have passed since a learning machine called the perceptron was proposed by Rosenblatt. It has played a major role for these forty years, not only in the area of computational neuroscience in elucidating the function of cerebellum, but also in theoretical and practical studies of learning machines. The present talk reviews these developments from my personal point
متن کاملMathematical Modelling of Pulmonary Edema
The excess accumulation of water in lung interstitial or alveolar is called pulmonary edema which is caused by factors that upset the normal Starling balance in micro-circulation. Pulmonary edema disturbs the alveolar gas exchanges which are normally regulated by the respiratory system. Mathematical modelling of pulmonary edema may help to predict the lung conditions and the mechanisms involved...
